I graduated from the University of Oxford in 2015 with a BA in French and German. Then I spent a year working in Salzburg as a language assistant before studying for my Masters in Translation Studies at Durham University. After completing my MA in 2017, I lived for a year in Switzerland, where I worked as an in-house translator for Swiss Post in Berne, before returning to the UK and taking up a position as a Trainee Translator at LKT in November 2018.
I have always liked solving puzzles, and to me, translation is like a cryptic crossword. The meaning is not always easy to decipher at first glance, but you can learn some tips to help you unpick the clues that are there in the language. I love coming up with texts that are clear, concise and idiomatic, and I’m looking forward to honing this skill further with the support of the team at LKT.
In my spare time, I like travelling, swimming, watching murder mysteries and solving the odd cryptic crossword.
